About Firelock Modular Server Vaults

Firelock Data Protection Systems has been building fireproof data vaults since 1986.  These vaults are capable of maintaining interior temperatures below 125-degrees F. for two to four hours (depending upon the size of the vault) even if temperatures reach 2,000-degrees F. outside the vault.  In the last few years conscientious data center designers have seen how Firelock vaults can protect not only their valuable server equipment, but their mission critical information as well.

Only Firelock manufactures and installs data vaults with all components capable of achieving the Class 125 rating.  Everything from the double door assembly, data cable and power cable entry points, and climate control system access (such as coolant line penetrations or insulated damper assemblies) will keep heat, flames and smoke from entering the vault chamber.  This is because Firelock applies the axiom “a chain is only as strong as its weakest link” to its fireproof vault design.

Each vault is custom designed and installed to fit each client’s exact size and configuration requirements.  The modular design of the vault allows them to be expanded as needs grow, or even relocated if necessary.  Over time it is likely that every component in the data center will be replaced by newer, more powerful equipment.  The one exception to that rule is the Firelock modular server vault, which is the secure environment in which the IT infrastructure lives.
